This is a resurrection of an old website originally built by Ryan Werner and Paul Lever, both owners of J/37's. Unfortunately , Ryan's J/37 which was hull #1 was lost in August 2004 and Paul has sold his J/37 and moved on to another boat.
We have been sailing the J/22 a lot this year and working on Sparkie's projects. We have built a new taff rail, installed new lifelines (uncoated), worked on water systems, and fought hatch and portal leaks. One summer project coming up is to make new hatch lenses and bed those in to stop those leaks. Also we have an idea for a portal upgrade. All you J guys know the issues with the Bomar portal leaks. They all do and are very expensive to replace. If this works, I will post pictures and drawings on this upgrade.
OK, never mind on the portals. I found a place that makes replacement lenses with hinges at a reasonable price. Check the link on the resource page to get more information. I am ordering some of the replacements and will take pictures and post when I get them installed!
I keep this website up and have not been very active, but I hope visitors enjoy what little I have posted here. Good sailing to all of you, drop me a note anytime.
By the way, I have a set of upper lifelines from my J/37c that are still good but need a home. No turnbuckles or pelican hooks, but good wire (bare). I have the lowers also, but they have a lot of meat hooks on them. Available for the cost of shipping.
